Agenda

The primary goal of the 18th International Symposium on NeuroVirology and 2022 Conference on HIV in the Central Nervous System is to bring together scientists and clinicians with interests in neurovirology and related fields, and to provide a virtual venue that promotes collaboration and communication of findings in these fields.

Meeting overview

This four-day Symposium will feature presentations from invited speakers in seven areas of interest.

• COVID and the Brain
• HIV/Cure Eradication
• HIV/co-morbidities
• Vaccine and Therapeutic Initiatives
• HERVS
• Extracellular vesicles/neuroinflammation
• Global Neurovirology/Emerging Pathogens

Also included in the 4-day symposium will be a NIMH hosted session on ‘Epigenetic Mechanisms Regulating HIV/CNS Latency’ and a special mentorship event focused on career options outside of academia. This meeting will also feature rapid fire presentations from submitted abstracts where authors will be given 5 minutes to highlight data from their posters. The virtual venue will also feature unlimited access to all posters throughout the meeting.
