Arriving by air

As a major international hub, New York City is served by most airlines. For meeting participants who will be arriving by air, three major airports serve New York City: John F Kennedy (JFK) and LaGuardia (LGA) in Queens, and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in Newark, New Jersey. Shuttle bus services are available from all airports.

John F Kennedy (JFK) International Airport is approximately 17 mi (27 km) from the Grand Hyatt New York. It is a major arrival point for flights from around the world. Public and for-hire transportation to and from the airport is readily available. A taxi from JFK to the hotel will cost approximately $45 USD.

LaGuardia (LGA) Airport is used by travelers mainly for domestic flights. LGA is served by US Airways and Delta, as well as other domestic carriers. LGA is approximately 9 mi (15 km) from the hotel. A taxi from LGA to the hotel will cost approximately $25 USD.

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is located approximately 17 mi (27 km) from the Grand Hyatt New York. While EWR serves as a hub for Continental Airlines, it's also an arrival point for over 40 domestic and international carriers, including British Airways, Lufthansa, and Alitalia. A taxi from EWR to the hotel will cost in excess of $45 USD.

Arriving by train

Meeting participants traveling by Amtrak train will arrive at Penn Station, where transportation to all points in New York City is readily available. The hotel is approximately 1.5 mi (2.4 km) from Penn Station. A taxi from Penn Station to the hotel will cost approximately $5 USD.

Other rail services that operate in and around the city include the Long Island Rail Road, New Jersey Transit, and New Jersey Path. The New York subway system, run by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, serves New York City and the surrounding area.
