One of the roles of the ISNV is to sponsor international meetings for the purpose of gathering researchers in the field of neurovirology and providing a forum for sharing the latest findings in the field. The dates and locations of each meeting are listed below.

The 9th International Symposium on NeuroVirology will be held Spring 2009. Please check the ISNV web site for more details as they become available.

Previous Symposia

The 8th International Symposium on NeuroVirology was held on October 29th through November 2nd, 2007, in San Diego, CA, USA.

The 7th International Symposium on NeuroVirology was held on May 31st through June 3rd, 2006, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Philadelphia, PA, USA.

The 6th International Symposium on NeuroVirology and the HIV Neuroprotection Workshop were held September 10-14, 2004, in Sardinia, Italy.

The 5th International Symposium on NeuroVirology and the HIV Molecular & Clinical NeuroScience Workshop were held September 2-6, 2003, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

The 4th International Symposium on NeuroVirology was held June 19-22, 2002 , in Düsseldorf, Germany. This meeting was held in association with the 10th Neuroscience of HIV Infection conference.

The 3rd International Symposium on NeuroVirology was held on September 14-16, 2000, in San Francisco, CA, USA. The meeting was chaired by Lynn Pulliam, Ph.D..

The 2nd International Symposium on NeuroVirology was held on June 6-10, 1999, at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH, USA. This meeting, which was a part of the Gordon Research Conferences, provided an international forum for the presentation and discussion of frontier research in neurovirology and related disciplines and technologies.

The 1st International Symposium on NeuroVirology was held in Philadelphia, PA, USA in May, 1997. A special issue of the Journal of NeuroVirology featuring contributions from meeting participants was published concurrently with the meeting.
